Hooray for 6th!

So i missed last week... Sorry about that.

So yeah, not much to report this week. State was yesterday. We got superior in everything, and 4th place percussion. 6th place overall out of 28 bands. It was good, but i was hoping for better. Ahh... We still had the best cadence there. Ha.

Thats really all i want to say right now... Marching season is over... "School Days" will never be performed again... I am sad...

What's that I smell? Is that... ownage? Why, yes, it is!

So yea, I'll explain the title of this one in a minute. Hehe.

I was on my fall break this week. So, monday I left to go see my favorite sister. I had some fun there. I got there until 9. Woo. But, I had fun. I got to play SUper Smash Brothers on the Wii. Very fun. We left the next day, and i got to see Mrs. Teresa. She's doing much better! Then I left and headed home with Kay and George.

Bright and early on Wednesday, i had band practice. Oh, joy. I thought I was going to die. But it was worth it. (Still getting to the title's explanation) Not much to say about the practice. We worked. Long and hard. But, I did have to drive the four-wheeler to practice and back since Mom and Dad were still in Nashville. ;)

I went back to school Thursday. (I'm still trying to understand why we have Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday off one week, then Thursday and Friday off the next) I don't have CMS anymore. Now, I have keyboarding with Mrs. Ratliff. It was interesting the first day. A girl in my class named Callie Horton had a seizure. Scared the CRAP out of me. I talked to her later that day though, and she was doing fine. There wasn't anything special about Algebra and Biology that day. But Band was torture. That was the day we practiced until 5, and it just so happened that it was freezing and rainy. You would expect us to go insode... Nope. Not Foret. We were out there the whole time, and I froze my butt off. I started off with a jacket, but then I saw Emily Pitts, and she just looked miserable, so I gave it to her. Soo there i was, out in the freezing cold and rain, with jeans and a plain white T-shirt. Oh my goodness.

Friday. Nothing important during school. AFTER SCHOOL was where it was at. We had a game, and i decided to stay at school instead of going home. So yeah, the band owned at that game. (STILL not to the title yet)

Saturday-A day to sleep in and be lazy all day. Not for band kids. The drumline had to get there and practice at 8 in the morning with Mr. Jeff. Even though it was early and we were all tired, the practice was good for us. We practiced from 8-11, got on the bus to go to a competition. Yeah, we practiced on the bus too from 12-1:30. Then we practiced from 2:30 to 3:15, and performed at 3:30. (NOW getting to the title) Yeah, we owned!!! First place percussion, band, field commander, and color guard in our class. Overall, we also got first place percussion, band, field commander, and color guard. We also got the High Marching Award and the Best Soloist Award for Molly Whitley. (She had the trumpet solo in the second and fourth song) And, finally, we got GRAND CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!!! WOOHOO!!!!!!!!! WE WON THE PUNCH BOWL!!!!!!!!!!!

So yeah, that was my week. Pretty exciting.

I'm baaaaaaaaaaack!

It seems I have not been on here in a while.... sorry about that...

Well, i left you in band camp, so I'll start from there.

Band camp sucks. 'Nuff said.

Buuuuuut school has started. Joy. I'm going to talk about that for a minute.
1st Block-CMS (Career Management Success). It's a pretty good class. My teacher is Mrs. Amerson. She is nice. Not much else to say. It's only a 9 week class... Yea, I'm done.

2nd Block-Algebra 1. Mrs. Isbell is a really great teacher. One of my favorites, really. good thing, since I have to have her all year. I'm doing pretty good in this class. 100 average. Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeah. Thank goodness I sit next to Christian Shipman. He's a genius.

3rd Block-Biology 1. Oh goodness. I hate this class. Don't get me wrong, I love Mrs. Allison. It's the students in it I hate. Let's just say 6 people are failing the class, and the majority of the class has a C. I have an A though. One of the few 5. Thank goodness Mrs. Williams is next door, or else I would not be able to survive that class. I love Mrs. Allison and Mrs. Williams. They rock.

4th Block-BAND! This class is what gets me through the day. I'm glad it's my last class of the day because it actually gives me something to look forward to. Mr. Foret is great. This is my favorite class right here. I mean, who wouldn't like a class where you get to drum the entire time?

So yeah, that's school for ya. Nothing much else to it. So now to talk about marching season.

We have changed this show around so much, its almost completely different from how it was in band camp. It's a really fun show, though (Ha, that rhymed). The season is going pretty good for us. We've gotten Grand Champions a few times, and 1st place percussion quite a few times. We got a lot more, but those are my favorites to say. HA. State is in 3 weeks, and I'm nervous, but feeling good about it. Foret's main goal is to get in the top 3, and I'm going t work my butt off to help that happen. That about sums it up. Oh yeah, Mr. Jeff had a baby daughter!!!

Uh................... Well, judgement house is starting. I'm excited, even though i can only be a part of it one night. I tried out for "A Chritmas Carol," but didn't make it. Oh well. Not a big deal. Oh, and the church got a shiny new drum set! I like it. Very much. Right now, I'm on Fall Break, and I'm going to Nashville Tomorrow.

Well, that's about all I have time to say. I'm going to try to make this a weekly thing instead of a daily thing. So yeah, check up on it every week or so. See ya.

Whoops...

Wel, it has been a while. I forgot. But, in my absence, I have been busy. Drumline mostly, so I guess I will start there. For those that do not know, I play the 3rd bass drum. All that means is that it is the 3rd from the smallest, or second from the biggest. Anyways, the drumline has been working on their stuff lately. Our warmup, maximum strength, is what we have put a lot of our time into. That, and all the drumline warmups. Eights, staccato, trip to six, double strokes, drolls, and some separate warmups. I absolutely can't wait for marching season!

Me and Sam have been hangin together a lot lately too. We have been playing our hearts out on Halo trying to get all of the skulls. Which, most of you reading wouldn't understand. But, the day before we left, we got the last one out of the 13.

So the 4th of July is coming up. UTD is going to play a few songs for our church's picnic in the park. It is going to be really fun!

Well, I can't think of anything else to say at this point, so I will try to start writing regularly again!

Born to be wiiiiiiiiiiiiild!!!!!

So, I started off my day bright and early to go to a guitar lesson. I must say, it was well worth the $20. As the day continued, I mostly did nothing. But, I did go on my first motorcycle ride! I wasn't really sure if I was going to like it or not, but it turned out to be really fun! I don't see why he won't let me drive it! Later, we headed to the lake. I had a fun time tubing, but Whitney left her swin suit in Nashville! But we still had a good time. Then we headed to the Rib Cage. Yummm. I had ribs, of course. After that, we headed to Shiloh to see the eagles. The only problem was that they had left. Darn. But I got to drive through the park! It was fun because i was able to miss my first deer! On the way home, Whitney and I engaged in an intense battle of Barnyard. We ended up tying 2-2. And now, I'm home. Pretty exciting day, don't you think?

Okay, lets get started with this.

Hey everybody! I'm new in the world of blogging, so you have to give me a hand. First of all, my wonderful sister Whitney introduced me to this blogging world, and I'm still figuring things out. She did tell me that I just needd to keep people up with whats happening, so lets get down to buisness.

Well, today i spent most of the entire day in a car! Oh joy. Thank goodness for music and headphones. I traveled somewhere around four hours with Kay, George, and Sam as we departed from Gatlinburg. While Sam watched National Treasure 2, I listined to my music. Thank you Cole, for giving me a CD with some awesome songs on it that occupied most of the trip back.

Then i met up with Whitney in Nashville and stayed at her office for a while. What fun. I was in charge of hole-punching and stapling. Like I said, it was a blast. We finally left for Selmer in my mom's car. Unfortunately, mom's car has no place to plug in Whitney's ipod. No Bohemian Rhapsody for me. Dern. All i can say is thanks goodness for the radio. When we finally got home, i was glad to see Dash and Lucy again. At least until Dash jumped on me and scratched me. I moved all my stuff into my room and did what I normally do. Went online to Facebook. After about an hour or so on Facebook, I figured I might as well try this out. And thats where I am now! As soon as I finish this, I will e-mail the link to my friends and family for them to see. Not bad for my first blog, eh?
